Description

Tender chicken coated in a sweet-savory sticky glaze, cooked to caramelized perfection and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 900 g / 2 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs

  • 80 ml / 1/3 cup soy sauce

  • 85 g / 1/4 cup honey

  • 50 g / 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated

  • 30 ml / 2 tbsp rice vinegar

  • 10 ml / 2 tsp sesame oil

  • 8 g / 1 tbsp cornstarch

  • 30 ml / 2 tbsp water

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)

  • 2 green onions, sliced


Instructions

  • Cut chicken into even cubes and set aside.

  • Whisk together all remaining ingredients except sesame seeds and green onions.

  • Add chicken to marinade and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  • Thread chicken onto skewers.

  • Cook on grill, oven, or stovetop until caramelized and cooked through.

  • Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Soak wooden skewers before use to prevent burning.

  • Adjust sweetness by reducing honey slightly if desired.

  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days.
