Inspired by simple, fusion-style meals, this wrap is easy to prepare, endlessly customizable, and sure to become a favorite you’ll make all week.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce (store-bought or homemade)

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce or coleslaw mix

  • 1 medium carrot, shredded

  • ½ cup thinly sliced cucumber

  • ½ cup thinly sliced red bell pepper

  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

  • 4 large flour tortillas

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise or light mayo (optional)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Season the thinly sliced chicken breasts lightly with salt and pepper.

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Add the chicken and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring frequently until browned and cooked through.

  • Reduce the heat to medium and pour in the teriyaki sauce.

  • Stir and simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.

  • Remove the chicken from heat and allow it to cool slightly.

  • Lay out each tortilla on a flat surface.

  • Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on each tortilla if using.

  • Add a generous scoop of the teriyaki chicken to the center of each tortilla.

  • Top with shredded lettuce or slaw mix.

  • Add shredded carrots, sliced cucumbers, and red bell peppers.

  • Sprinkle green onions and sesame seeds over the top.

  • Fold the sides of each tortilla inward and roll tightly to form a wrap.

  • Slice in half if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, assemble the wraps right before eating to keep tortillas from becoming soggy. The chicken can be cooked and stored separately in the fridge for up to 4 days. Customize your wrap by adding avocado, extra vegetables, or a light drizzle of hot sauce. Warm the tortillas slightly before rolling for easier folding and a softer texture.
