Description

A vibrant and flavorful salmon dish glazed with sweet-savory barbecue sauce and topped with a fresh mango avocado salsa.


Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (170 g / 6 oz each)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (2 g)

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (3 g)

  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper (1 g)

  • ¾ teaspoon sea salt (4 g)

  • ½ cup barbecue sauce (120 ml)

  • 2 tablespoons honey (30 ml)

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (15 ml)

  • 1 teaspoon Dijon-style mustard (5 g)

  • 1 mango, diced (200 g)

  • 2 avocados, diced (300 g)

  • ¼ cup red onion, diced (40 g)

  • 1 small red bell pepper, diced (75 g)

  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (30 ml)

  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped (8 g)

  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt (1 g)


Instructions

  • Whisk barbecue sauce, honey, lemon juice, and mustard in a bowl.

  • Brush salmon with olive oil and season with spices and salt.

  • Grill salmon over medium heat, brushing with glaze, until flaky.

  • Combine salsa ingredients gently in a bowl.

  • Top salmon with salsa and serve.

Notes

For best flavor, use ripe mango and firm avocados. Brush the glaze toward the end of cooking to avoid burning and let the salmon rest briefly before serving.
