Description

A sweet and savory party appetizer made with beef cocktail sausages, pineapple, and a rich brown sugar glaze that’s perfect for gatherings and game days.

Ingredients

Scale

2 pounds (32 ounces) beef cocktail sausages
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 cup pineapple juice
1 can (20 ounces) pineapple chunks, drained (reserve juice)
1 packet (1 ounce) ranch seasoning mix
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon water

Instructions

Place beef cocktail sausages and drained pineapple chunks into a slow cooker.

In a bowl, whisk together brown sugar, pineapple juice, ranch seasoning mix, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and crushed red pepper flakes.

Pour sauce over sausages and pineapple. Add butter on top.

Cook on LOW for 2–3 hours or HIGH for 1–2 hours until heated through.

Mix cornstarch and water to form a slurry. Stir into slow cooker and cook 10–15 minutes until sauce thickens.

Serve warm.

Notes

For a thicker glaze, add an extra ½ tablespoon cornstarch mixed with ½ tablespoon water.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Reheat gently to maintain the sticky consistency.
