A hearty and comforting one-pan meal made with seasoned beef and tender cabbage, perfect for busy weeknights or relaxed family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef

  • 1 small head green cabbage, chopped (67 cups / 700 g)

  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced (1 cup / 150 g)

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) beef broth

  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or coconut aminos


Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat and cook onion until soft.

  • Add garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.

  • Add ground beef and cook until browned.

  • Season with spices, then stir in tomato paste and soy sauce.

  • Add cabbage and broth, cover, and simmer until tender.

  • Adjust seasoning and serve warm.

Notes

  • Adjust seasoning to taste.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
