Description

Some recipes are timeless, and Peanut Butter Blossoms sit right at the heart of that comfort-filled nostalgia. Whether it’s a holiday cookie exchange, a cozy weekend bake, or a sweet treat to make with the kids, these Simple 5-Ingredient Peanut Butter Blossoms bring warmth to every kitchen. Their iconic combination of soft peanut butter cookie dough and a sweet chocolate kiss on top has made them an American favorite for decades.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • About 24 milk chocolate kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and fully blended.

  • Using your hands or a small cookie scoop, form 1-inch balls of dough. Roll each ball in additional sugar if desired. Place the dough balls about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.

  • Bake the cookies for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are just set.

  • Remove the cookies from the oven and immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each warm cookie.

  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a slightly crispier texture, let the cookies bake an extra minute or two.

  • Crunchy peanut butter can be used for added texture.

  • Natural peanut butter will create a denser cookie but offers richer flavor.

  • Different chocolates like dark chocolate, white chocolate, or mini peanut butter cups can be used as variations.

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
