A rich and flavorful shrimp dish in a creamy garlic Parmesan sauce, perfect for a quick yet elegant meal.
Ingredients
500 g (1 lb) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
1/2 cup (50 g) grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
1/2 cup (120 ml) chicken broth
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Instructions
Pat shrimp dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
Melt butter in the same skillet and sauté garlic until fragrant.
Add chicken broth and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
Stir in heavy cream and cook until slightly thickened.
Add Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and chili flakes. Mix until smooth.
Return shrimp to the pan and coat in sauce. Cook for 2–3 minutes.
Finish with lemon juice and parsley. Serve immediately.
Notes
Do not overcook shrimp to maintain tenderness
