Description

A fun, bite-sized twist on classic cheeseburgers using crispy tater tots instead of buns, perfect for game day and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Frozen tater tots – 32 ounces

  • Ground beef – 1 pound

  • Salt – 1 teaspoon

  • Black pepper – 1/2 teaspoon

  • Garlic powder – 1/2 teaspoon

  • Onion powder – 1/2 teaspoon

  • Cheddar cheese slices – 6 slices, cut into quarters

  • Dill pickle slices – 24

  • Ketchup – 1/3 cup

  • Mustard – 1/4 cup

  • Nonstick cooking spray – as needed

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and spray a mini muffin tin with nonstick spray.

  • Place 3 to 4 frozen tater tots into each cup and bake for 10 minutes. Press down gently to form cups, then bake another 10 to 15 minutes until crispy.

  • Season ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Shape into 24 small patties.

  • Cook patties in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes per side, until fully cooked.

  • Place one patty into each tater tot cup and top with a quarter slice of cheese.

  • Return to oven for 3 to 5 minutes until cheese melts.

  • Top with pickle slices, ketchup, and mustard before serving.

Notes

Serve immediately for the best texture. Components can be prepared ahead and assembled just before serving to save time on busy game days.
