Description
Perfectly baked boneless chicken thighs are juicy, flavorful, and easy to make. This simple recipe uses everyday seasonings and a hot oven to create tender, golden chicken that’s ideal for weeknight dinners, family meals, or meal prep. Baking at 400°F ensures a slightly crisp exterior while locking in moisture, making every bite delicious.
Ingredients
-
6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1 teaspoon onion powder
-
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
-
½ teaspoon black pepper
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
½ teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
-
½ teaspoon dried oregano
-
1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
-
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a baking dish.
-
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
-
In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, thyme, oregano, and lemon zest.
-
Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken thighs.
-
Arrange the chicken thighs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each piece for even cooking.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the chicken is cooked through.
-
Optional: Broil for 2–3 minutes for a slightly crispier exterior, watching closely to avoid burning.
-
Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the seasoning mixture for 30 minutes to 2 hours before baking. This chicken stores well in the fridge for 3–4 days and can be gently reheated.
