Ingredients

Penne pasta – 12 oz (340 g)

Olive oil – 2 tablespoons

Unsalted butter – 2 tablespoons

Fresh garlic cloves, finely minced – 8 cloves

Heavy cream – 1½ cups (360 ml)

Milk – ½ cup (120 ml)

Grated Parmesan cheese – ¾ cup (75 g)

Salt – 1 teaspoon

Black pepper – ½ teaspoon

Italian seasoning – 1 teaspoon

Red chili flakes (optional) – ¼ teaspoon

Fresh parsley, chopped – 2 tablespoons
Instructions

Cook penne pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup (120 ml) pasta water and drain.

Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

Pour in heavy cream and milk, stirring gently as the sauce warms and thickens.

Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and chili flakes if desired.

Stir in Parmesan cheese gradually until the sauce becomes smooth.

Add cooked pasta and toss to coat, using reserved pasta water to adjust consistency.
