Ingredients

  • Penne pasta – 12 oz (340 g)

  • Olive oil – 2 tablespoons

  • Unsalted butter – 2 tablespoons

  • Fresh garlic cloves, finely minced – 8 cloves

  • Heavy cream – 1½ cups (360 ml)

  • Milk – ½ cup (120 ml)

  • Grated Parmesan cheese – ¾ cup (75 g)

  • Salt – 1 teaspoon

  • Black pepper – ½ teaspoon

  • Italian seasoning – 1 teaspoon

  • Red chili flakes (optional) – ¼ teaspoon

  • Fresh parsley, chopped – 2 tablespoons


Instructions

  • Cook penne pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup (120 ml) pasta water and drain.

  • Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

  • Pour in heavy cream and milk, stirring gently as the sauce warms and thickens.

  • Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and chili flakes if desired.

  • Stir in Parmesan cheese gradually until the sauce becomes smooth.

  • Add cooked pasta and toss to coat, using reserved pasta water to adjust consistency.

  • Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
