Description

This Hot Honey Feta Chicken is a perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and savory flavors. Juicy chicken breasts are topped with a creamy, tangy feta sauce and drizzled with warm hot honey for a dish that’s easy enough for weeknights but impressive enough for guests.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese

  • 3 tablespoons honey

  • 12 teaspoons hot sauce or crushed chili flakes

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced

  • 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt or cream cheese (optional)

  • Fresh parsley or dill, chopped, for garnish

  • Lemon wedges for serving

  • Cooked rice, couscous, roasted vegetables, or salad


Instructions

  • Pat chicken breasts dry and rub with olive oil. Season evenly with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper.

  • In a medium bowl, combine feta, honey, hot sauce or chili flakes, lemon juice, olive oil, and minced garlic. Add Greek yogurt or cream cheese if desired. Stir until smooth.

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 6–7 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Remove chicken and let rest 3–5 minutes.

  • Spoon the hot honey feta sauce over the cooked chicken. Garnish with fresh parsley or dill and serve with lemon wedges and preferred sides.

Notes

  • Drying the chicken before seasoning ensures better browning and flavor.

  • Adjust spice level by adding more or less hot sauce or chili flakes.

  • The sauce can be made up to 48 hours in advance for convenience.

  • Serve with rice, grains, or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
