A rich and comforting pasta dish featuring tender steak and a silky cream sauce, perfect for a special evening at home.
Ingredients

450 g (1 lb) sirloin steak

340 g (12 oz) fettuccine or penne

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

360 ml (1 ½ cups) heavy cream

120 ml (½ cup) beef broth

75 g (¾ cup) grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon paprika
-
½ teaspoon black pepper
-
Salt to taste

¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions

Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 120 ml (½ cup) pasta water and drain.

Season steak with salt and pepper.

Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear steak 3–4 minutes per side. Rest, then slice thinly.

Lower heat to medium and add remaining olive oil and butter.

Sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add beef broth and scrape up browned bits.

Stir in cream, Italian seasoning, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Simmer 5–7 minutes.

Add Parmesan and stir until smooth.

Toss pasta into sauce, adding pasta water as needed.

Fold in steak and warm through.

Adjust seasoning and garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan for the smoothest sauce. Slice steak against the grain for maximum tenderness. Adjust sauce thickness with reserved pasta water as needed.
