Ingredients
-
1 (4–5 pounds) boneless turkey breast
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
½ teaspoon black pepper
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1 teaspoon onion powder
-
1 teaspoon paprika
-
1 teaspoon dried thyme
-
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
-
1 teaspoon dried sage
-
1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
-
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 small onion, quartered
-
2–3 fresh parsley sprigs
-
Optional: 1 teaspoon smoked paprika for extra flavor
Instructions
-
Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels to ensure the seasoning sticks.
-
Combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, rosemary, and sage. Rub evenly over the turkey breast.
-
Set the Instant Pot to “Sauté” mode, add olive oil, and sear the turkey breast on all sides for 2–3 minutes until golden brown.
-
Remove the turkey breast and pour 1 cup chicken broth into the pot, scraping the bottom to release browned bits.
-
Add quartered onion, minced garlic, and parsley sprigs to the broth.
-
Place the turkey breast on top of the aromatics, close the lid, and set the valve to “Sealing.” Cook on high pressure for 25–30 minutes depending on the size.
-
Allow a natural release for 10–15 minutes to keep the turkey juicy.
-
Optional: Transfer turkey to a baking sheet, brush with melted butter, and broil for 3–5 minutes for a crisp exterior.
-
Rest the turkey for 10 minutes before slicing.
-
Slice and serve with sides, drizzling with the Instant Pot juices if desired.
Notes
-
Allow turkey to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking for even results.
-
Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
-
Season generously with herbs and spices for optimal flavor.
-
Save the Instant Pot juices for gravy or to drizzle over the turkey.
-
Broil briefly if you want a crispier outer layer.
- Prep Time: 15 minutes
