Description

This honey butter skillet corn is the perfect side dish when you want something sweet, creamy, and comforting. With just a handful of ingredients, you can transform simple corn into a rich, buttery dish that pairs beautifully with everyday dinners, festive feasts, or backyard barbecues. It’s quick to prepare, family-friendly, and so delicious that it might just become a new go-to favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups corn (fresh or frozen)

  • 4 tablespoons butter

  • 3 tablespoons honey

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (or whole milk)

  • 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and allow it to melt until bubbly.

  • Stir in the corn. If frozen, add it directly to the skillet without thawing. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and lightly golden.

  • Drizzle honey over the corn and stir well. Let it cook for 2–3 minutes so the butter and honey blend into a glossy coating.

  • Lower the heat and stir in the cream and cream cheese. Continue stirring until the cream cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.

  • Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using). Taste and adjust as needed. Remove from heat, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Fresh corn offers the sweetest flavor in summer, but frozen corn works wonderfully year-round.

  • Swap heavy cream with whole milk or half-and-half for a lighter version.

  • Add a pinch of cayenne or red pepper flakes for a sweet-and-spicy twist.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat gently on the stove.
