Description

A tender, flavorful chicken dinner made with a simple honey butter glaze that’s both sweet and savory. This dish is easy to prepare, perfect for weeknight meals, and elegant enough for special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • ½ cup honey

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme (or Italian seasoning)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

  • In a small mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, honey, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and thyme until smooth.

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  • Place the chicken in the baking dish. Pour the honey butter mixture over the chicken, turning to coat evenly. Spoon extra glaze on top.

  • Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste halfway through baking with the pan juices.

  • For extra caramelization, broil during the last 2–3 minutes of cooking, watching closely.

  • Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley and drizzle with pan sauce before serving.

Notes

  • For juicier results, use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking.

  • Chicken thighs may be substituted; adjust baking time as needed.

  • To make dairy-free, replace butter with a plant-based butter alternative or coconut oil.

  • Leftovers store well in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or can be frozen for up to 2 months.
