Description
A tender, flavorful chicken dinner made with a simple honey butter glaze that’s both sweet and savory. This dish is easy to prepare, perfect for weeknight meals, and elegant enough for special occasions.
Ingredients
-
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
-
½ cup honey
-
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1 teaspoon onion powder
-
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
-
½ teaspoon dried thyme (or Italian seasoning)
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
-
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
-
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, honey, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and thyme until smooth.
-
Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
-
Place the chicken in the baking dish. Pour the honey butter mixture over the chicken, turning to coat evenly. Spoon extra glaze on top.
-
Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste halfway through baking with the pan juices.
-
For extra caramelization, broil during the last 2–3 minutes of cooking, watching closely.
-
Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley and drizzle with pan sauce before serving.
Notes
-
For juicier results, use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking.
-
Chicken thighs may be substituted; adjust baking time as needed.
-
To make dairy-free, replace butter with a plant-based butter alternative or coconut oil.
-
Leftovers store well in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or can be frozen for up to 2 months.
