This rich and comforting Chicken Alfredo is a family-favorite dinner that combines tender seasoned chicken, perfectly cooked pasta, and a silky homemade Alfredo sauce. It’s an easy yet impressive meal that turns any night into a special occasion and brings everyone to the table with excitement.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken

  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Pasta and Sauce

  • 12 ounces fettuccine pasta

  • 4 tablespoons butter

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream

  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

  • ½ cup reserved pasta water (as needed for consistency)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  • Season chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken for 6–7 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked. Remove and let rest before slicing.

  • Cook the fettuccine in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.

  • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat and add minced garlic. Cook 1 minute until fragrant.

  • Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.

  • Add the Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly until smooth and creamy.

  • Toss the cooked pasta with the Alfredo sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed for a silky texture.

  • Slice the chicken and place on top of the pasta. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for the best smooth and creamy sauce.

  • Add steamed broccoli, peas, or spinach for extra nutrition and color.

  • If the sauce thickens too much upon standing, add a splash of milk or pasta water to loosen it.
