Description

Soft inside, golden on the outside, and dusted in cinnamon sugar—these air fryer churro bites offer a lighter way to enjoy a beloved classic snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup water

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for dough)

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)

  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (for coating)

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (for brushing)

Instructions

  • Combine water, unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and salt in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat.

  • Stir in all-purpose flour and 1 teaspoon cinnamon until a dough forms. Mix in vanilla extract.

  • Transfer dough to a piping bag with a star tip and pipe bite-sized pieces onto parchment paper.

  • Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C). Air fry bites for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway.

  • Mix coating sugar and cinnamon. Brush warm bites with melted butter, then roll in cinnamon sugar.

  • Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

For freezing, pipe dough onto a tray, freeze, and store in a bag. Air fry from frozen, adding 1–2 extra minutes. Adjust sweetness or use alternative flours as desired.
