A quick skillet meal featuring tender steak bites cooked in rich garlic butter and paired with vibrant summer vegetables for a flavorful and satisfying dinner.
Ingredients
1 lb (450 g) sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
2 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp unsalted butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 zucchini, sliced
1 yellow squash, sliced
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 cup cherry tomatoes (150 g)
1/2 red onion, sliced
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp chopped parsley
1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
Season the steak cubes with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add zucchini, squash, bell pepper, and onion. Cook for 4–5 minutes.
Add cherry tomatoes and cook for another 1–2 minutes. Remove vegetables from the pan.
Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in the same skillet.
Add steak cubes in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes per side.
Reduce heat to medium and add butter and minced garlic.
Toss steak bites in the garlic butter for about 1 minute.
Return vegetables to the skillet and mix everything together.
Garnish with parsley and lemon juice before serving.
Notes
Use a very hot skillet to achieve a good sear on the steak.
Avoid overcrowding the pan when cooking steak bites.
Fresh seasonal vegetables provide the best flavor and texture.
Serve immediately for the most tender and juicy steak.
