Description

A rich and satisfying dinner featuring juicy steak bites coated in garlic butter, served with golden crispy potatoes and fresh herbs—perfect for special occasions like Father’s Day.

Ingredients

Scale

700 g sirloin steak, cut into cubes
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried thyme or 1 tablespoon fresh thyme
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

800 g baby potatoes, halved
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried rosemary or thyme
1 tablespoon fresh herbs

Instructions

Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F). Toss potatoes with oil and seasonings, then spread on a tray.

Roast potatoes for 30–35 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy.

Pat steak dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.

Heat oil in a skillet and sear steak bites for 2–3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.

In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.

Add thyme and return steak to the pan, tossing to coat.

Serve steak with crispy potatoes and garnish with fresh herbs.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh garlic and herbs. Avoid overcrowding the pan when cooking steak to ensure a proper sear. Reheat potatoes in the oven to maintain crispiness.
