Description

A rich and flavorful one-pan chicken dish with tender green beans in a savory garlic butter sauce.


Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (680 g / 1.5 lb)

2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)

3 tablespoons unsalted butter (45 g)

5 cloves garlic, minced

450 g (1 lb) green beans, trimmed

1 teaspoon salt (5 g)

½ teaspoon black pepper (2.5 g)

1 teaspoon paprika (5 g)

½ teaspoon dried thyme (2.5 g)

½ teaspoon dried oregano (2.5 g)

60 ml (¼ cup) chicken broth

1 tablespoon lemon juice (15 ml)


Instructions

Season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, thyme, and oregano.

Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear chicken 5–6 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.

Melt butter in the same pan and sauté garlic until fragrant.

Add green beans and cook for 3–4 minutes.

Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice.

Return chicken to the pan and cover.

Cook for 8–10 minutes until chicken is fully done.

Notes

Use fresh garlic for best flavor

Do not overcook the chicken to keep it juicy

Add chili flakes for a spicy variation

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days
