Ingredients

Burrata cheese – 2 large balls (about 200 g each)

Fresh basil leaves – 1 packed cup (about 30 g), torn

Lemon – 1 large (zest finely grated, 1 tablespoon juice)

Extra virgin olive oil – 3 tablespoons

Sea salt – 1/2 teaspoon, or to taste

Freshly ground black pepper – 1/4 teaspoon

Honey – 1 teaspoon (optional)

Crushed red pepper flakes – 1/4 teaspoon (optional)

Artisan bread – 1 loaf (about 400 g), sliced and toasted
Instructions

Remove the burrata from the refrigerator 15 minutes before serving.

Place the burrata on a serving platter and gently tear it open.

Scatter the torn basil leaves over the burrata.

Sprinkle lemon zest evenly and drizzle with lemon juice.
