Ingredients

450 g (1 lb) boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breast, cut into pieces

15 ml (1 tablespoon) vegetable oil

120 ml (1/2 cup) low-sodium soy sauce

60 ml (1/4 cup) water

50 g (1/4 cup) brown sugar

15 ml (1 tablespoon) honey

15 ml (1 tablespoon) rice vinegar

10 g (2 teaspoons) cornstarch

10 ml (2 teaspoons) sesame oil

1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

2 cloves garlic, minced

360 g (2 cups) uncooked white rice

480 ml (2 cups) water
Instructions

Cook the rice with water according to package instructions and set aside.

Whisk together all sauce ingredients in a bowl until smooth.

Heat oil in a skillet and cook chicken until browned and cooked through.

Pour in the sauce and stir until thickened and glossy.
