Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) fresh salmon fillet, skin removed

  • 1 cup (60 g) breadcrumbs

  • 1 large egg

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon paprika

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Avocado Sauce

  • 2 ripe avocados

  • ¼ cup (60 g) plain Greek yogurt

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1 small garlic clove

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • 23 tablespoons water


Instructions

  • Finely chop the salmon and place it in a large bowl.

  • Add breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix gently until combined.

  • Shape the mixture into 1½-inch balls.

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the salmon balls, turning gently, until golden and cooked through.

  • Blend all avocado sauce ingredients until smooth, adding water as needed.

  • Serve salmon balls warm with avocado sauce.

Notes

For best results, use fresh salmon and ripe avocados. The salmon balls can be made ahead and reheated gently before serving.
