Description

A comforting slow cooker meal that delivers classic lasagna flavor with minimal prep, perfect for hectic evenings.


Ingredients

  • Cheese ravioli – 24 ounces (680 g)

  • Ground beef or ground chicken – 1 pound (450 g)

  • Olive oil – 1 tablespoon

  • Onion – 1 medium, chopped

  • Garlic – 3 cloves, minced

  • Marinara sauce – 4 cups (960 ml)

  • Italian seasoning – 2 teaspoons

  • Salt – 1 teaspoon

  • Black pepper – ½ teaspoon

  • Ricotta cheese – 1 cup (240 g)

  • Shredded mozzarella cheese – 3 cups (340 g)

  • Grated Parmesan cheese – ½ cup (50 g)

  • Fresh basil or parsley – 2 tablespoons, chopped (optional)


Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook onion until softened, then add garlic and cook briefly.

  • Add ground beef or ground chicken and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.

  • Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.

  • Lightly grease the crockpot. Spread a thin layer of sauce on the bottom.

  • Layer ravioli, sauce, ricotta, and mozzarella. Repeat until ingredients are used.

  • Finish with sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan on top.

  • Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours.

  • Let rest for 10–15 minutes before serving. Garnish if desired.

Notes

  • No need to pre-cook ravioli.

  • Letting the dish rest before serving improves texture.

  • Customize with vegetables or additional cheeses as desired.
