A slow cooker version of the classic favorite that delivers bold flavor with minimal effort, perfect for hectic evenings.
Ingredients

900 g (2 lb) boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cubed

120 ml (1/2 cup) low-sodium soy sauce

80 ml (1/3 cup) hoisin sauce

75 g (1/3 cup) brown sugar

60 ml (1/4 cup) rice vinegar

30 ml (2 tablespoons) honey

15 ml (1 tablespoon) sesame oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

10 g (1 tablespoon) fresh ginger, grated

5 ml (1 teaspoon) chili flakes

120 ml (1/2 cup) chicken broth

30 ml (2 tablespoons) cornstarch

30 ml (2 tablespoons) cold water

4 green onions, sliced

10 g (1 tablespoon) sesame seeds
Instructions

Add chicken to the slow cooker.

Whisk soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, chili flakes, and chicken broth.

Pour sauce over chicken, cover, and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours.

Mix cornstarch and water, stir into the crockpot, and cook on high for 15–20 minutes until thickened.

Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
