Ingredients
1½ pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon onion powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons milk
1½ cups panko breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Bang Bang Sauce:
½ cup mayonnaise
⅓ cup sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon sriracha
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Optional garnish:
2 tablespoons chopped green onions
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Instructions
Soak wooden skewers in water for 20 minutes if using wooden skewers.
In a bowl, season the chicken cubes with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder.
Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with whisked eggs and milk, and one with panko breadcrumbs.
Coat each piece of chicken first in flour, then in the egg mixture, and finally in panko breadcrumbs.
Thread 4–5 pieces of chicken onto each skewer.
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place skewers on a baking sheet and drizzle with vegetable oil.
Bake for 18–22 minutes, turning halfway through, until the chicken is golden and cooked through.
In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lemon juice to make the Bang Bang sauce.
Brush or drizzle the sauce over the cooked chicken skewers.
Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, cook the skewers in an air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes. Adjust the amount of sriracha in the sauce to control the spice level. Serve the skewers immediately after cooking for the best crunchy texture.
