Description

A smooth, whipped ricotta dip topped with warm, spiced honey for a sweet and savory appetizer that comes together in minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups whole milk ricotta cheese

  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

  • 1/3 cup honey

  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes

  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil (for garnish)

  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme or basil, chopped

Instructions

  • Add ricotta cheese, olive oil, salt, black pepper, lemon zest, and lemon juice to a food processor and blend until smooth and fluffy.

  • In a small saucepan, gently warm honey with red chili flakes and smoked paprika over low heat for 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat.

  • Spread whipped ricotta onto a serving plate, creating swirls with a spoon.

  • Drizzle hot honey over the ricotta and finish with olive oil and fresh herbs. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use whole milk ricotta for the creamiest texture. Adjust the chili flakes to suit your preferred level of heat. This dip can be prepared ahead and assembled just before serving.
