Description

A creamy, crunchy, and lightly sweet appetizer that brings together herb-infused cheese, chopped pistachios, and warm hot honey for an irresistible flavor combination.

Ingredients

  • Boursin cheese, 2 packages (5.2 oz / 150 g each)

  • Shelled pistachios, ½ cup (60 g), finely chopped

  • Hot honey, 3 tablespoons (60 g)

  • Extra virgin olive oil, 1 tablespoon (15 ml)

  • Fresh thyme or chives, 1 tablespoon (5 g), finely chopped

  • Freshly ground black pepper, ¼ teaspoon

  • Optional crushed red pepper flakes, ¼ teaspoon

Instructions

  • Remove the Boursin cheese from the refrigerator and let it soften for 10 minutes.

  • Finely chop the pistachios and spread them evenly on a shallow plate.

  • Roll each cheese round in the pistachios, pressing gently to coat.

  • Place the coated cheese on a serving plate.

  • Warm the hot honey slightly and drizzle it over the cheese.

  • Finish with olive oil, fresh herbs, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.

  • Serve with crackers, bread, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • For best presentation, add hot honey just before serving.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

  • Allow cheese to come to room temperature briefly before serving for optimal creaminess.
