Description

A comforting one pot pasta made with tender noodles simmered in a rich tomato sauce and finished with a swirl of cream for ultimate cozy flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped (120 g)

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste (30 g)

  • 400 g canned crushed tomatoes

  • 3 cups vegetable broth (720 ml)

  • 340 g dried pasta

  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • ½ teaspoon paprika

  • ¾ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ¾ cup heavy cream (180 ml)

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan-style cheese (50 g)

  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat and sauté onion until soft.

  • Add garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.

  • Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1–2 minutes.

  • Add crushed tomatoes, vegetable broth, and seasonings. Bring to a simmer.

  • Add pasta, cover, and cook while stirring occasionally until tender.

  • Reduce heat and stir in cream and cheese until smooth and creamy.

  • Adjust seasoning, rest briefly, and serve warm.

Notes

Stir frequently while cooking to prevent sticking. Add extra broth if the sauce becomes too thick. Best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated gently with added liquid.
