  • 6 large apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or a mix), peeled, cored, and sliced

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed

  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

  • Frosting packets (from the cinnamon rolls)

  • Optional: vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or caramel sauce

Finished with a drizzle of sweet frosting, this cobbler is warm, gooey, and irresistible.

Notes

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.

  • In a large bowl, combine apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Toss until evenly coated.

  • Spread the apple mixture into the prepared baking dish. Drizzle with melted butter.

  • Open the cans of cinnamon rolls and set aside the frosting. Cut each roll into quarters.

  • Scatter the cinnamon roll pieces evenly over the apples, leaving a little space between each.

  • Bake for 35–40 minutes, until apples are tender and cinnamon rolls are golden brown.

  • Remove from the oven and let cool for 5–10 minutes. Drizzle the reserved frosting on top.

  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or caramel if desired.
