A rich and creamy pasta dish featuring savory chicken sausage, tender spaghetti, and fresh broccoli tossed in a velvety Alfredo sauce enhanced with cream cheese.
Ingredients
12 oz (340 g) spaghetti
12 oz (340 g) chicken sausage, sliced
2 cups (150 g) broccoli florets
2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
2 tbsp (28 g) butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
½ cup (120 ml) whole milk
4 oz (113 g) cream cheese, softened
¾ cup (75 g) grated parmesan cheese
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Optional: 1 tsp Italian seasoning, ¼ tsp red pepper flakes, 2 tbsp parsley
Instructions
Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water. Add broccoli during the last 3–4 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook sliced chicken sausage until browned. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1 minute.
Add heavy cream and milk. Stir in cream cheese until melted and smooth. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
Add parmesan cheese and stir until fully melted. Season with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
Return sausage to the skillet and add pasta and broccoli. Toss until evenly coated.
Serve hot with parsley and extra parmesan.
Notes
Use freshly grated parmesan for best results.
Add a splash of milk when reheating to maintain creaminess.
Do not overcook broccoli to preserve texture.
Adjust seasoning to taste for a personalized flavor.
