Description

A creamy, comforting pasta dish inspired by classic butter chicken flavors, featuring tender chicken bites and a rich tomato-based sauce.


Ingredients

  • 500 g boneless chicken breast, cubed

  • 120 g plain yogurt

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 2 teaspoons garlic paste

  • 2 teaspoons ginger paste

  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • ½ teaspoon turmeric

  • 1 teaspoon garam masala

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped

  • 400 g crushed tomatoes

  • 120 ml heavy cream

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 400 g pasta

  • Water and salt for boiling


Instructions

  • Marinate chicken with yogurt, lemon juice, spices, garlic, ginger, and salt for at least 30 minutes.

  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and reserve some pasta water.

  • Cook marinated chicken in oil until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  • In the same pan, melt butter with oil and sauté onions until soft.

  • Add garlic, ginger, crushed tomatoes, spices, sugar, and salt. Simmer until thick.

  • Stir in cream and cooked chicken, simmering briefly.

  • Toss in pasta, adjusting consistency with reserved pasta water.

  • Serve hot with optional garnish.

Notes

  • Adjust cream and spices to taste.

  • Best served fresh, but sauce can be prepared ahead for convenience.
