Ingredients

Soy sauce – 3 tablespoons (45 ml)

Oyster-style mushroom sauce – 2 tablespoons (30 ml)

Brown sugar – 1 tablespoon (12 g)

Ground black pepper – 1 teaspoon (2 g)

Cornstarch – 1 tablespoon (8 g)

Water – ¼ cup (60 ml)

Neutral cooking oil – 2 tablespoons (30 ml)
Instructions

Lay beef slices flat and season lightly with black pepper.

Place basil leaves and a bit of minced garlic on each slice.

Roll tightly and secure if needed.

Whisk soy sauce, mushroom-style sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and water in a bowl.

Heat oil in a skillet and sear beef rolls on all sides.

Add sauce, reduce heat, and simmer until thickened and beef is cooked through.
